The characteristics of the rig and hull make sailing simply a 1 sheet, 1 tiller operation. She is designed with a fin and bulb keel to maximise performance and at 2.2t and 26’ she is easily handled in a marina with her option of diesel or electric drive.
The hull is built from wood/epoxy laminates using modern techniques to reduce weight whilst ensuring strength and durability. Down below the detail of the hull structure is picked out as a feature, more like a piece of furniture than the performance sailing hull it really is. The simple cabin contains 2 berths, a head and a small stove and sink. On deck the cockpit space is maximised and kept clear of ropes by the freestanding carbon wishbone rig.
The Sundowner will turn heads wherever she goes!
